Events
School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.
Our school events may include:
- Cross Country, Athletics and Swimming Carnivals
- Parliament (student assembly)
- Kindergarten transition program
- Harmony Day celebrations
- Book Week events including Book Fair and Book Parade
- Cultural days
- AFL sporting skills days including Gilbert Bain Day and Leo Barry Day
- Excursions and incursions
- Performances, concerts or school productions
- Fundraising, charity and community events
- Year 6 Graduation
- Presentation day
- Community events such as 'Blighty Beehive'

All ages are welcome to come have a cuppa or listen to a story and enjoy connecting with others in the community.
Kindergarten Transition
Date: Monday 1st September 2025
Time: 12pm - 3pm
Kindergarten Transition. Students looking to attending kindergarten in 2026 will attend a three hour transition session where they will engage in classroom activities.
Finley Show

Stage 2 Excursion - Sovereign Hill Ballarat
Date: 17th - 19th September 2025
The Stage 2 excursion will be a jam-packed three-day adventure to Sovereign Hill in Ballarat!
On the way to Ballarat, students will visit Bendigo’s Golden Dragon Museum to learn about Chinese heritage during the gold rush. In Ballarat, they’ll explore life in the 1850s at Sovereign Hill, enjoy the spectacular AURA Light and Sound Show, and tour the Central Deborah Gold Mine. It will be a fun and unforgettable learning experience!
