Events
School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.
Our school events may include:
- Cross Country, Athletics and Swimming Carnivals
- Parliament (student assembly)
- Kindergarten transition program
- Harmony Day celebrations
- Book Week events including Book Fair and Book Parade
- Cultural days
- AFL sporting skills days including Gilbert Bain Day and Leo Barry Day
- Excursions and incursions
- Performances, concerts or school productions

- Year 6 Graduation
- Presentation day

Lions Club Junior Public Speaking Competition - School level
Date: Thursday 25th June 2026
Time: 12 noon
Location: Blighty Public School
Students in Year 3 to 6 will read their speeches to judges from the Lions Club. Students who make it through to the next round will compete in Finley against students from other schools.
